I did a reading at Raymore Branch Library in Raymore, Sask. recently. The reading was in conjunction with a summer reading and activities program the town is running for its young people. It’s always great to visit rural communities and talk to people. I enjoy it. The audience had good questions and had the opportunity to talk to me personally and buy books afterward. The next morning, one of the participants sent me a photo of her daughter reading one of my books. She said her daughter really enjoyed my presentation and that on their road trip she was busy reading one of my books! That warms my heart! I love to see kids get excited about reading, and it’s particularly satisfying to see them pick up one of my books. I appreciated them sharing this photo with me and asked permission to post it.
